put the new radiator on my apex,do u need to bleed the cooling system after u add new coolant,if so ,how is this done,or can i just keep adding coolant to the overflow bottle as needed

Fill back in what you think you lost when you removed the radiator then run the machine for a little while then check the level of the coolant after you have run the machine. You should be able to tell then if you need to add or not. Be sure after you run the machine to let it cool down for a while specially before you pop the rad. cap off. Hot antifreeze always sucks!
Someone correct me if I am wrong but with the overfill res. you shouldn't need to bleed the line because it will pump all the coolant back through the system and out to the top main res. and all air pushed throught will circulate to the highest point - ae the main res.

You have to bleed the system in the rear. Put the back of the sled up on a stand and then loosen the 10 mm bolt in the rear hear exchanger cross over tube. This section won't purge itself of air because it traps it like a bubble. Thats why they put that bleeder in the tube.

Do ypu need to run the motor while opening the rear bolt to purge?? I just changed the front heat exchanger.........what a pain the a$$!!

No not running. Just fill the cooling system with the rar bleeder bolt out. Raise the rear of the sled up too. Fill it untill coolant comes out of the bleeder. Just did a front exchanger on my buddies sled and did it this way. worked great.

If you change the front heat exchanger, the whole system will be emptied and a full bleed is necessary. If you just added in a rad in the OEM location (right knee), there is no reason why air would get into any of the heat exchangers. A top-only bleed should be fine. Remove rad cap, pour in until full, replace cap.

That is what I was thinking as well. Thanks for the clarification.
