blown-up
I just thought I would let you all know that I blew mine up March 15 of last year. Had 2 weeks left on warrenty. Just got it back dec. 24. Yamaha covered it 100 %. No charge. If I was out of warranty my dealer said they will not cover it. I bought another 2 years to be safe...
I had mine go about 3 weeks ago. Destroyed the whole motor. Only thing good is the block. I had 2 weeks left on warranty. Dealer said yamaha is not covering this unless it is under warranty unless they make it a recall. Service bullitain does not mean they have to cover it. If you bring it...
yas I do have a warranty. Just thought I would let everyone know that if no warranty then yamaha will not cover it. I had 2 weeks left on it. Going to buy another 2 years.
just found out today that mine
went and destroyed the engine. The only thing left good was the block. Dealer sais if out of warrenty yamaha does not cover this.
been there
I just had my 06 vector stop wednesday 1/4 mile from home. Just like I hit the kill switch. Sounds funny when cranking over. Dealer said it sounds like the cam tensioner. It is covered under warranty. He said if they go too long like that that it will strip the gear on the...
After a 200 mile day my 2006 vector just quit 1/4 mile from home. Just like I hit the kill switch. Sounds funny when I crank it over also. Any ideas. I thought may-be stator or crank.
My question was has anyone tried different sliders other then just putting the same old yamaha sliders back on. My mechanic told me to try garland sliders.
I have aleady done these things. My point is that I still only get around 2000 miles out of a set slides. I also have a polaris 800xc and I can get well over 7000 miles out of a set of slides. My point is why. Is the slider material different. My mechanic thinks there is. Has anyone tried...
I keep hearing of slider wear in all the yamaha sleds. I talked to my mechanic who works on all different types of sleds. He thinks it is the type of slider material yamaha has. He told me to try garland sliders who make polaris sliders. Has anyone tried any different sliders other then...
Zero to 90 you will be hard to find anything that will stay with ya. After that it slows down. Good hard trails 110-116on top end. I love mine. 17-21 mpg.
I had this same problem on my 06 vector while riding in quebec last year and it was below zero every day we were out. Left foot toasty warm and right foot like a block of ice. Been asking people around here and nobody has heard of it. It is not the fan on the brake because I have had mine cut...
I have seen 117 on my o6 vector. That was on really good going on railroad bed run. Normal trail riding 106-112. I have a few things done to it but not much. Cluthing is stock but iI am over reving right now so am thinking of adding some pin weight. I have put windage plates on my back...
I would say you lost a lot of top end to me. I regularly pull 110-115 on my 06 vector. My buddy 170 plus pulls 125-130 on his 06 apex. 111 just sounds really slow for an apex to me.

Just thought I would show you guys these shoot-out results. Guys are making excuses on hardcore sledder and doo talk big time. Just thought I would share. Yamaha ruled in the shoot-out.
