Have you taken off your hood mounted powder deflectors?

you're saying that as if it is a bad thing to have powder in your face;) I took mine off and left them off and it was fine. rt

    RX1 Died this weekend

Sounds to me like a stator gone bad. Usually, if you main fuse goes out it will just quit and not start. However, if your stator goes, the battery is no longer getting charged so it will continue to run with the battery providing the juice for the spark. Thus, the dim headlights. Once the...

    Wildchild kit or M7 skid?

Sounds like yours is an 03' or 04' so I'd personally do the skid first because the skid rides the bumps SO much better. The rider forward might as well be done at the same time but since you asked. Rt

Two problems or are they normal

I had #2 happen one time:) Just playin...I did have it happen when my lights wouldn't come on and actually my gauges wouldn't fire up. It was really cold out like you were saying and I think a relax was frozen. After a minute or two it turned on. Riding at -20 is just crazy anyway. Rt

    M7 skid question

It does depend if yours is an 03-04 or if it is an 05 with the newer skid. The newer skid has different front mount locations and I am told that you do have to mount it back a little bit to get her to work. Good luck. Rt

17lbs. hard to climb with 6 inches of track on the snow

You might also think about your helix angle. I ran a shockwave adjustable and found it amazing to change from 48-50' down to 43-44'...much less transfer cause the power seems to come on a bit smoother. Just a thought. Rt

    To lean with Glasspack??

??????Who told you that? We've been reading plugs on cars, bikes, etc for years. PUll your plugs after a long pull. Otherwise, spend the $250 for a wideband and have the certainty. Rt

Where in the world is all my anti freeze going?

Don't think so because most of us Mt riders turned them off or just disconnected them alltogether. Frosty, I'd throw a little bottle on the end of your coolant overflow line and tape it in place and see how much gets into that. Mine did the same thing. So does my wife's Vector mt. Rt

Need help finishing 05 rx1m project

:) Exactly. Although option number 5 would be to cut a hole in stock box (3"x8") and jet up to 165's but then you just burn more fuel and I don't see any real improvements in performance. Rt

    How rich is rich?

Every sled is different, and the air, temps, altitude you ride changes. Get an A/F gauge rather than guess blindly at it. That can be a costly mistake. You will feel a lot better knowing that your jetting is "spot on" rather than hoping it is correct based off of what others do. Good luck...

Vibration found (M7) Rail tips chewed, what did you do?

If you actually take that shock off and look on the xover bar that it is mounted to you might be surprised.....if you took your front bogeys off it will rub there. Mine showed about 1/16" of metal worn away from the rubber nubs on the track rubbing on it. Didn't always do it but did it enough...

    CLUTCHING & TRACK SPEED

21/40 might give you better top end on the trail.....but even that is debatable. It is a wrestling match between the power the motor produces....and the resistance from the track (traction, gearing, track length, etc). That wrestling match occurs in the clutches. If you are geared too tall...

    vector clutch opinion??

Yeah, 9 tooth drivers would throw your gearing a bit out of wack and if it tightened your track too much would cause a bunch of hp loss. Glad you figured it out. Go with the silver spring, you'll like it. After doing some climbs feel your clutches and see if they are cool, warm, or hot. Rt
