Sounds to me the guys riding Yamaha with this exhaust will have to start taking the same approach as skidoo guys running the 800 twin. Great sled but don't own one unless you have warrantee.
Last wkend an 07 attack with airbox mod and fuel controller got 123mph on gps running with 22/38 gearing reving 10700rpm. A buddy also tested his 06 apex comparing 23/38 and 22/38 gearing and found that the 22/38 was better everywhere! Better acceleration and backship vs 23/38. Also sleds with...
Hey Turk, how lean are the new ones from the factory. Does it have a light like the 2002 srx did when deto was happening. Perhaps even with good fuel you are leaving some on the table, fuel controller????
I had a very good running 98 srx, ported and it wasn't as quick as my stock 800 vmax, grass dragged both etc. Also had an 06 with same mods as one mentioned and it was definitely quicker and faster than the srx. I would like to see the vmax with quads run an apex with a yamaha charger or one...
Here are the results: Weight apex 15lbs heavier, vmax 10-15km/h faster which equated to between 4-6 sled lengths depending on how the vmax got out. Stock apex and stock vmax would be a good race. Now Turk, how did you know this was going to happen? LOL
going to be on a rolled test strip, great conditions for both sleds, will all come down to how much hook up the vmax4 gets. Better the hook up worse it will be for the apex.
In a 1000ft what do you guys think would be the difference. Apex 121 with ripsaw track, PCIII, Ignition module, air box mod vs 750 vmax PSI quads and 9830 track. Weight difference, speed and lengths. Results posted later. Both sleds a very well dialed in.
