Hey All, the last little while, when I go over “moguls” at slow speed, I hear a bit of a sound under me! I hoisted the rear, placed 6” of lumber right below my front shock (rear suspension) and sure enough, the tips of my rails are making contact with my drivers! Do you think my front shock...
That's really too bad!! I've been customizing my wife's Phazer to match my Viper. It was Blue/White and is now sporting a nice Blue/Orange! I was hoping to get a few accessories like idlers in orange too! Maybe I'll have to get her skid rails powder coated! lol Oh well, black is my next...
I can't believe that we can't (In Canada anyway), get colour matching Deluxe covers, saddlebags etc for the Blue/Orange Vipers! Are they coming out soon? Or are we out of luck? There seems to be no accessories or clothing of any kind specifically designed for these sleds!! Too bad!
I've been following this story closely, I couldn't log on until today. I'm in Ontario Canada, I've let my dealer know there are some issues too. Waiting to talk to them again to see what's up. I've had mine home since Sept 3rd! got married on Sept 5th and wanted it home! lol
I just called my dealer yesterday to order some "side body deflectors" I believe they are quite new as I gave him the part number from the yamaha can. website and he couldn't find them in his system. I am looking to put a mirror on the back side of them, should look O.K. as I don't like any of...
Just one guys opinion but, yes I would disconnect the battery. If you know an electrician get some Noalox or Penatrox. It is for dissimilar metals, acts as a never sieze and is electrically conductive! Excellent on battery posts!

Mine is an 08 RTX and it has 13 plates. (68 links) Read up on how to put the cover back on, it is not THAT hard but, you need to know the process for the reverse linkage, and be in a patient, gentle mood. Have fun.

Hey this weekend I was astonished! First my buddy paid $7 less than me for the same trip on Saturday. (driving slow, large group) No surprise. But!!! On Sunday just three of us went out and we beat our machines to death. Mine STILL got 17 MPG and SO did His!
Yah I know, he can get 23...
Someone on here was curious if anyone had run the RSI Heaters on high and what happened. Well I ran mine on high for quite a while (more than an hour). My sled is fine, my hands were on fire! But, it didn't seem to hurt anything!
Now, If I could get some heat on my Thumb!........
Later...
I called Ulmer the other night, he was supposed to email me the instructions. He is really busy right now apparently. I remember the first step was to remove the ground from the computer up in the nose. After that I have no idea. Also, he said that the instructions were on his website for...
Does anyone have instructions for changing the stock computers' fuel mapping. My sled is a bit fat! I have the Ultra Q muffler. (08 RTX) Can't get ahold of Allan Ulmer, I'd really like to change it before the weekends' rides!
Thanks J5 :yam:
Well I often sit and read and keep my thoughts to myself, but, I thought after reading dozens of pages on this I would also pipe in a bit. My first thought is that the handguards on these sleds are a bit too far away from the bars (lets cold air hit them and thus cools them). I put a set of...
Holy crap, anybody price handlebars??? $196, I hope they come with the grips all ready on them...
Does anyone know if you can put a 2" riser on without extending your cables and wires???
Thanks again
J5
