Looking at buying a 2021 transporter lite with roughly 1700 miles on it. After reading some of the posts on the forum I’m wondering if i should steer away from it.
White pink white primary clutch spring (less jumpy at take off). Or barn of parts soft start spring.
Front rear skid spring. Change to either 135 or 160lbs spring. Stock one is only 110lbs. Can run less preload, and in turn less bucking Bronco effect. Plus helps take weight off front skis...
I've owned a 2008 phazer mtx. Put roughly 7,000 miles on it. Personally I wouldn't let a kid ride it. Extremely tippy, and heavy beast to right side it after tipping. You would be best to get something like a Indy 550 144" or something similar. I'm a Yamaha man, but phazers Aren't a sled...
I have mixed reviews on new flash. Decent cold starting at -30C, but once engine warmed up having to try twice to start to often (ambient temperatures from -20 to -30C). Does seem more responsive, with less idle fluctuating. Did have brief stalling issue when pulling out of trailer one...
kids getting older and don't want to ride in the snowcoach anymore. Sold the coach and picked up two new kimpex seat jacks. Looking at running the hand warmers off of the heated visor plug on right side footwell. The seat jack runs a 5 amp fuse for the warmers, thinking the visor circuit...
Had exact same issue. Was last riding in -30 temps, and buddy said I was white as a ghost for most of the day. Was going to try and seal off some of the hole around exhaust pipe, frog skin the rad opening, and seal off some holes on front end.
Another thing I noticed on my ride the other day was that my fuel tank vent may have froze up. Went to fuel up and there was quite a bit of vacuum pressure when removing the fuel cap. The -26 ambient temperature and the gobs of steam this thing was puking out, may have resulted in the fuel...
Got sleds out of trailer and pulled panels off. Have a huge chunk of ice under the muffler and oil reservoir. Wonder if I'm getting snow through the exhaust outlet hole. Seems to be a 3/8" gap around the pipe.
finally got new to me 2014 viper xtx out for a long ride. 15 miles into it, I realized this thing must be ingesting snow somewhere and steams like an old locomotive. At the first stop I was completely white in frost, while everyone else was not. We were booking it across a well snow covered...
I've read tons of threads on primary springs and realize a few vendors in the states have specific springs to sell. I'm located in northern Canada and shipping/time is to great from the US. Confused to which Yamaha primary spring to get, to lower engagement rpm on my 2014 viper xtx (stock...
Looking at buying a 2014 viper xtx. A bit concerned with the talk of cold starting issues with the viper. Recently had a trip ruined by my phazer not starting in -28C weather, even after sitting in a heated enclosed trailer. Think the premium fuel I used may Not have helped things. Buddies...
Started smoking again recently. Bought a ' 14 switchback assault 600 and still have my'08 phazer mtx as backup. The switchback is a better handling sled on average. Liked my phazer, but it had some serious handling issues when trying to sidehill. Can't beat the power of the 600.
Just get south of melfort, maybe 20 minutes and the snow gets crappy. What about going to hudson bay and west on the transcanada trail Through the forestry and eventually end up in the narrow hills park or even candle lake.
I keep forgetting to update my location. I'm in melfort now, so not so northern on the grand scheme of things. Looks like quite a trip planned out, safe travels.
