    2010 RS Vector Oil Filter

OK Thanks guys. I will buy a new one and when I change the oil I will see if the old one fits, otherwise I may as well throw it away. If it does fit I will keep the new one for next time.

    2010 RS Vector Oil Filter

I've got an oil filter that was for my 04 Rx Warrior or 06 YZF600R (both gone now) part # 5GH-13440-00. The RS Vector oil filter # is 5DM-13440-00-00. Are these filters interchangeable? I haven't taken the Vector apart yet to compare the two but the numbers are the same other than the GH vs DM.

remote shock adjuster cable busted 2008 Vector

How does the cable assembly connect to the shock? Does it thread on to it? The part that remains in the shock looks like an allen head screw and it will thread out. I threaded it partly out but wasn't sure if any parts may fall out if I was to remove it. I'm sure if I had the new part in my hand...

remote shock adjuster cable busted 2008 Vector

My cable looks like it just came out of the shock. What holds it in there? Is it just a zip tie around the rubber boot? It looks like a typical speedometer cable. The square end on mine is still there, it doesn't look damaged, just came out of the shock. I also noticed on the Yamaha parts...

    Studs Hitting Heat Exchanger

The thing I have an issue with now is the fact that the track lugs are wearing from hitting the extra protection I have added. If I add even more to it they will wear more and I will be continually bottoming out on them way before the suspension should bottom out. Very annoying. This sled is not...

    Studs Hitting Heat Exchanger

I have 2010 Vector LTX GT. I installed 1.325" studs and added an extra 1/4" of protection by the rear exchanger. Went for a ride and the studs were hitting the exchanger a little. I added another 1/4" of protection for a total of 1/2" extra stud protection. I figured I had the problem solved and...

    Vector ltx owners

Way better ride on a rough trail. A little more flotation in deep snow. And probably the first thing you will notice is the extra traction with the longer track. Crazy acceleration vs the 121. That's my opinion on the matter although you will always have people who will argue the above points. I...

    '07 recall altitude compensation

I just bought a new 2010 Vector LTX GT and it had the same campaign numbers show up. It is fuel injected. What would the compensation be? With FI, temp and barometric pressure (altitude) are already compensated for.

05 Vector clutch, replace or rebuild?

As long as your sheaves aren't damaged you can buy all the parts to rebuild both clutches for less than $200. I had about 12000 miles on my last clutch with no parts replaced although I was going to replace wear items if I was to keep it. I opted to buy a new Vector LTX GT. The sled before that...

    Anyone who studded a 2010 Vector LTX..read

So, you guys find the 1.325" studs have enough penetration? Banks93, how do the snowtrackers stand up to rocks? They look like thin gauge steel, which looks like it would bend or collapse when hitting large rocks under the surface, which we come across in northern Ontario once in a while. I know...

    Anyone who studded a 2010 Vector LTX..read

I just bought a new 2010 Vector LTX GT. I will be studding it. What length of stud are you guys using? I have heard everything from 1.325 to 1.375. I had 108 on my Warrior and that was enough. I don't feel the need for 168 or whatever some manufacturers of studs recommend. Seems like a lot of...

2005 Warrior Drive Shaft Bearing Failure

That spacer you are referring to is called a collar which I have. The first time I did the job I almost forgot it. The second time the bearing failed that collar was "welded" to the inner race of the driveshaft bearing. I'm pretty sure I tightened the set screws on the bearing on the PTO side...

    jackshaft bearing blew!

I live on the Michigan/Ontario border so I am lucky to be able to avoid Brokerage fees by having parts delivered to a ferry that goes between the border and I pick up the parts in Canada and then declare them at customs which is 50 yards from the ferry. Super convenient. Anyways, if you could...

2005 Warrior Drive Shaft Bearing Failure

From the factory the seals were the other way around. I thought maybe the oil would break down the rubber and that was why they were that way. I don't think this is a debris in the case issue. There is something causing an extreme load on that bearing. I am going to get the driveshaft in a lathe...

    2005 Warrior Exhaust Leak

I noticed an exhaust leak up front. I suspect it is the donut gaskets close to the engine. Do I need to remove the gas tank to access them? Or do I have to remove the track and access them from underneath?

2005 Warrior Drive Shaft Bearing Failure

ALL bearings were replaced, chaincase was new, seals were new, chain and gears were cleaned in varsol bath, then blown clean and dried. All bearings in the chaincase were Yamaha parts. I believe the drive shaft bearing had 1 seal and the jackshaft bearing had 2. The one on the chaincase cover...

2005 Warrior Drive Shaft Bearing Failure

I was going to check the driveshaft, but I was looking for other ideas also in case the driveshaft is straight. I actually hope the drive shaft is bent so I can be confident a new driveshaft will solve my problems. Hopefully I get some more replies.

2005 Warrior Drive Shaft Bearing Failure

I bought a used 2005 Warrior with 3700 kms on it. Sled is mint so I believe the odometer is actual kms. My drive shaft bearing (chaincase side) failed a couple weeks ago. The bearing must have had a catastrophic failure because all that was left was the outer race in the chaincase. The collar on...
