Have been experiencing relay problem with my son's phazer this last week...we have had a stretch of cold weather and lots of snow. When cold, pod lights up, fuel pump winds up...but just a click (relay) with no starter engagement. Hit the relay with heat gun for few minutes and starts...

I was searching site on my pals behalf...his 06 Venture RS quit on trail this weekend. Would not start. Battery appears to be fine. Hear a faint clicking sound when turning the key. He purchased last winter...around 1200 km on the sled. I have over 8000 km on same sled and not experienced...

Update: All loose hardware from light mount/instrument pod (underside of cowling. Worth while to check!!!!

I previously posted request for info on an "over-heat" I experienced last Sunday...I subsequently found that all of the upper rad hose clamps (x5) were loose. Thought I was in good shape. However, on today's ride (120 Km), I checked every 30Km or so and noticed that the reservoir was empty...

My 06 has a protective plate but I can see lower rad hose at both ends...I am going to modify to cover fully...given the cut to the lower cowling the blown belt caused. It appears that my lower rad hoses are OK...though the front is scuffed and I will replace in the off season. I tightened...

Thanks...seems to be working just fine now! and....it is snowing again...PERFECT.

Just took a look at my machine with fresh eyes...all of the top rad hose clamps were loose...will re fill slowly. Are there any tricks/tips to avoid air lock??

My 06 RS Venture overheated at the end of a 150Km ride today. We had been running trails and some lake sections. We had been on about 5 Km of hard packed when I got the Amber warning light. Got onto lake and powder...did not improve so I stopped and shut it down. Subsequently got a tow home...

I have noticed a similar rattle on my 06 RS Venture (8000 Km)...Seems to come and go. We have approx 3 weeks of riding left (maybe another 1500 Km)...is this a fix now or can it wait?).

My son's 07 FX linkage broke yesterday...he is 14 and weighs 100 lbs...he has only rode groomed trails and is supervised (by me)...I cannot think of anyway possible he could have abused the sled...particularly one that is suppose to be designed for off trail riding...something else has to be...

Is there a contact/number for Yamaha Canada...Just in case my dealer is not up to speed on this 08 upgrade and fact that more that 1 component must be replaced to resolve.
