mpi turbo

I just got a 2009 nytro with the mpi turbo, it runs good but I'm worried about the electric oil pump for the turbo failing. If that pump fails does it pooch the seals and the turbo? and starve the turbo of oil or is it a oil return pump? any info on it would be nice. thanks.

If you guys had to choose between a 14 LTX SE with a MPI trail Turbo or a 15 LTX SE with the full EVO Stg 4 setup with full exhaust, which would you choose? Both have about 5000mi and both have Big Venom clutch kit. 14 Turbo is $1000 more. As a side bar I had a 15 LTX Viper and a 17 LTX Winder.
