I have a 04 grizzly. it does not start. it does have spark. it appears to have compression. i do not have a fitting for my comp tester. but when i crank it over and hold throttle wide open it cranks even faster. dont know if this is normal. spray starting fluid in carb and all it does is backfire real loud out the exhaust, i know starting fluid is bad? did timing jump? dont know a lot about 4 strokes .guess it time to learn. any help would be greatly apperciated. Thanks Rick. when it quit running it was at idle. and never would start again.
Ganz is correct on that one. Last summer I asked the mechanic if he thought I needed to get the valved adjusted and he asked me how does it start. Hard starting or not starting at all points to valve adjustment according to him.
