04 RX-1 or 05 RS Vector

I got quite the dillema here. I have decided to make the jump into the four stroke world, and so I emailed a bunch of dealers in the area... Now I have some quotes, but I just wanted some feedback as to which to choose. Here is a sample of a quote I got from one dealer:

2004 rx1 $5500
2005 rs rage $6700
2005 vector $6900
2005 rx1, I have one for $7500 and 1 for $8200

All new, 0 miles. I think my riding is more suited for the RS Vector, but that price on the '04 is hard to look past. Will I notice that much difference between the two sleds? Any other advice/tips would be helpful. I'm looking to haul out the checkbook this week yet (before the snow really starts flying).

Run away from the 04 as the updates required will end up costing you as much as the Vector. Make sure it is an E/R.

the vector is the best riding besides the monoshock ,the rage is the warrior suspension and it isnt as soft of a ride as the vector,i was impressed with the power of the 3cylinder for sure but the money is a big deal too but the vector is the closest thing in yamaha to a polaris ride that ive been on ,havent rode the mono yet hope this helps

The monshock is light years ahead of the proaction. I put 30 miles on my mono last night and it does not even compare to the old design. Get the 05 RX-1!
