04 RX1 -vs -Doo

I have a friend that has a 2007 800 mxz doo and a guy wants to trade him a 04 rx1er 1500 miles and $2000.00 . My friend also has a 2007 mxzx550 that he owes $2000 on and thought that he would just pay it off with that money . My ? is he going to have many prob with the 04 and is there things that he should know about it first . Thanks for your input

If you think the 07 Doo is only worth $6000 then it's a good deal? Do the math the 04 RX is only worth around $3500.
No he won't have any problems with the RX other than going broke from making bad deals!

He has the doo adv. for $6000 and I know he wants a YAMAHA he just has not admitted to it yet . Is there a big dif. between the rx1 and my rtx in the ride ? I have never been on a rx1 and also how durable is the suspension ? The Doo trade in value is $4005 retail $5810 The rx1 trade in is $3430 retail $4985

07 800 Doo only worth 4 grand trade and an 04 RX is worth 3400? The numbers sound off to me on the Doo.

KBB says average retail on the Doo is $6000 to $7750 and $3800 to $5100 on the RX. Either it's a scam, a lie or stolen. Why would the guy want a used '04 when he can trade it in, put $2k down and get a brand new sled. Our Yamaha Dealer's are giving the sleds away.

He wants the money and has had the doo advertised for a month now and no buyer yet . I would too trade it in and get a new but not my choice or finance decesion.The Doo I guess is only a 2006 my mistake and the numbers I got where from KBB.I guess the ? I have is he going to be disapointed with the rx1 after riding his mxz . He rides ditches and trails but also likes alot of power.No scams or anything stolen in this deal either thats kind of insulting, and its not my deal to make just wanted some input on the rx1.

Wasn't intending on insulting you. The saying goes, if it sounds to good to be true. IT IS! I could see the price being more realistic if it is a 2006. Makes more sense.
I am on a Blog for Golf Carts because I have a sickness of needing too many toys and have a lifted golf cart. Anyhow, the same type of thing happened and the dude ended up with a stolen cart.

I guess the guy that has the rx1 had back surgery and says the YAMAHA is too heavy for him. He said he had a doo before and wants one back do to weight . But in my opinion the rx1 would ride nicer than the doo . I love my apex and wouldn't ride anything but YAMAHA at this point because I don't see anything that would make me switch. Like I said I don't have much knowledge about the rx1 just looking for info.

I know this is a yamaha site and I ride a Yamaha but to be honest the guy with the Ski Doo (in my opinion) will puke if he rides the 04 RX1. Again this is my opinion but the 03 04 rear suspension is a piece of crap I replaced mine with a SC10 III from a Doo and its better but still no ditch banger. If it was an 05 or up I would say he would be OK with it but not an 04 I think the RX1 has it on a groomed trail all day long over any other sled the weight is not as noticeable unless the trail gets real tight.
