04' Sleds Moving at Dealer Cost

Hey guys, in the process of getting some shock covers and I was speaking with the owner of Clare's Cycle & Sports in Fenwick, Ontario (Near Niagara Falls). As a sales pitch he offered to sell me ANY on the 12 Brand New Sleds he has in inventory at Dealer Cost (and he said I could see his invoice.. ) I told him I would post this for him so if anyone is interested....REASON??? Slow year because of the lack of snow.

A local Yammy dealer has 03 RX1s at $1500 below dead cost and 04s at $500 under dead cost with all programs taken off price and hasnt even had a phone call on them.

We need snow, plain and simple.

lol and he told you that was his cost huh? Remember last april when people were getting deals on the rx1 mtn at 12000+? We booked at 11200.00 and that was good money to the dealer. You better shop around a little. At 12000.00 last year we were told that was 50.00over dealer cost - ya rite.

KB, are you talking in US or CDN $? I am talking CDN $.

I know the dealer very well. Normally he just shows me the cost book and we add a bit on for his profit. This year is a different story. There are just way too many new and used sleds still sitting on dealer showrooms right now. If we dont get some snow soon, you will see some dealers close their doors as they wont be able to afford the interest payments carrying this inventory.

Ken, i know its not in canada, but theres a dealer in Wausau, WI that has a 01 and a 02 SRX with 0 miles on either one. Im sure there would be willing to deal...BBY

I have a friend who bought a brand new (in the crate) 03 Rx1 Mtn for $8735 Canadian in Fall 2003.

in june of this year i bought my 2003 rx1 brand new for 7950 cnd
tax in and a cover and 2 belts and a few other little things,
so realy there is better deals out there..
j&b cycle and marine in timmins ontario is selling rx1 at almost the same prices i bought mine for in june ...
