just bought a an 04 warrior it has a hauck clutch kit bretahers and jets. looking for any other fairly cheap mods that are going to get me towards running with my cousins apex GT. I am a big guy 6"6 380 pounds, i was also wondering about handle bar risers as i am probably going to have to bring them up at least 4 inches i'm thinkin?? any suggestions on setup mods and risers would be great. Thanks guys

concidering your weight i would check with your dealer for heavier rate springs for the rear skid. as for risers you can add 2 in. without mods, much higher and you will need longer cables from the rx mountain. do a search on these forums under 'risers' and 'springs' and anything else of intrest. there is a ton of information on most topics, it just has to be read.

Bigcountry....I am the same height as you, but not quite as heavy (although I'm working on it!).
I used the powermadd pivot riser and a 4" block and it's just about perfect. I could have gone with the 6" block for standing, but then sitting would have resulted in "ape hangers".
I used the '05 mountian throttle cable, and it took about 5 minutes to swap with the stock. I was able to use the stock brake lines with just a bit of re-routing.
I can't comment on the heavier spring, as I am also getting one installed this fall.

Nitrous.
I am also 6'6" so I can relate, and have done the mods that work for me. You can change the ergos, and get better handling, or in our case, room.
I added a Nytro seat and powermadd pivot riser with 2" block. The pivot and rise is sufficient enough, and you shouldn't need longer cables either. I swapped them before I added the pivot and there's allot of slop in the longer cables now.
Also, if you don't wear one now, a Tek-Vest helps with the added windchill.

Well one mod that helped me. The air box. remove the lower snorkel. Take a hole saw and make 2 hole on each side of the snorkel hole. Now ill try to find a pic up my filter cover mods i did and post them. Use the apporiate carb springs and jet up to 165 mains and move up ur primary needle on clip. This made a big difference as i could gain 2-3 lenghts on my buddies sled.

i know this topic has probably been posted somewhere but i want to get an exhaust and i want that sport bike sound but i don't want the single outlet through the middle as i want to keep the LED tailight that i have. I don't want to make the machine that much louder i just want the tone! any suggestions or sound clips would help a lot, thanks again

This isn't a performance upgrade, but if you ride in marginal snow from time to time you might want to look at installing the rx-mountain rear heat-exchanger....
