wolfie,
I kinda look for a comprimise between agressive trail riding (handling) and the ocasional race where I need weight transfer. This is my first year on an RX1 and I am already pretty tired of listening to the ski don't riders and all there smack talking. Even when you put them in there place they just aren't sharp enough to realize it. So I need the weight transfer from time to time.

Thank's Wolfie and Mr Sled. I will try the way of increasing the preload following Wolfie explainations. With the other suspension I've had (Polaris, Artic Cat, M-10). to achive the best confort for 300 miles per day travelling, I have always loosen to the max the ski springs, kept the skid front shock to the standard or even increase the preload to the limit of keeping decent ski presure and the rear spring to the softest setting with occasional bottoming. I did that on my Vector with very good results. The reasonning with the monoshock would be to consider the shock preload the same way as a front shock on a conventional suspension.

I haven't had the chance really fiddle with mono-skid but the first thing I bought for my RX was a set of ski spring quick adjusters, for exactly the reason wolfie stated. Snow conditions play a GIANT role in how your sled handles.I move the ski spring preload at least daily and sometimes a couple of times during the day as conditions dictate. the spanner wrench set-up stinks. There is no perfect all condition set-up.
By adjusting front ski preload you can control the amount of roll and bite for different snow conditions

Where did you get your ski spring adjusters?
