10000 Kms, it runs fine at low rpm, then when I crack the throttle as it gets up to speed there is a strange sound like a four stroke atv, sort of low rumble. The sled bogs and chugs along. Any guesses what might be wrong?

Throwing any codes with or without check engine light?10000 Kms, it runs fine at low rpm, then when I crack the throttle as it gets up to speed there is a strange sound like a four stroke atv, sort of low rumble. The sled bogs and chugs along. Any guesses what might be wrong?
If not, likely a clutch issue. Broken spring, worn pucks on the helix, sticking weights from worn bushings.

No codes, what makes you think it's clutching. Primary or secondary?

If the engine is getting pulled down under load, it could be clutching.
Will it rev up clean on a stand?
Could be filthy carbs too? Fouled plugs??
I guess I'd start with the basics like clean carbs & new plugs.
But, at that mileage, clutch components can't be ruled out. Again, broken spring either clutch. Worn bushings in primary causing weights to stick. Worn buttons on the secondary helix causing bind.

Yes it revs good on the jack. I had it out last week with no issues. Today we had several inches of really wet snow and I was running drifts, could this be why the clutches were having problems. I limped it home, should have run down the road, that would help with not much resistance.
