05 reverse in a 03?

Will the revese from a 05 RX-1 fit in a 03 RX-1? The yamaha accessory cataloge has a different part number for the 05 the the 03. I have read something about the brake mounts on this site being different on the chaincase. Thanks

Well, I have an 05 cover on my 03, it has brake mounts for BOTH configurations. Note that that doesn't mean that all the parts are identical. You should do a parts breakdown of the two - if the cover is the only component different, it should work fine.

I just installed 05 reverse on a 03 and there are two mounts on the outside cover for the parking brake. the lower two are the ones that lined up but i had to drill and tap them. i beleive it was 6mm. every thing works fine.
