OK guys'
I am looking at the 05's and need to know which one to get.
I have a very bad back and the doc tells me to give up Snowmobiling HA not me, but I have to get the the best ride out there, so is it an RX-1 MONO, Warrior or what :?: :?:
If you have been able to ride one give me your thoughts.

Snorover,
I have a warrior (it you remeber from our ride). I LOVE it. BUT, I went to the yamaha show in Bangor and am very, very, very impressed with the new RX-1. The way the suspension works is incredible. It looks like you can adjust on the fly so if you hit a bad part, go low, gets smooth, go high. My dad, and my riding buddies all jumped an and all said the same thing... " WOW". Yamaha dropped the weight, kicked out the ski stance, put new ski's on. So if my money was purchasing a new snowmobile in 05, there is no doubt I would chose the RX-1 over anything else. The RX-1 they had at the show had the Ohlin remote resevoir adjustable and literally you turn a knob the soften or harder. Asked my dealer and this is not a factory option but available for around $700 - $1000 installed. So if the doc says no, find the next best alternative 8) . I know you ride ALOT and love your RX-1. The warrior is definately nice to spread out the bumps and stutters. But I have riden with you and unless you ride slower then you did on our ride, not a problem there  If they dropped 30 pounds off the warrior then maybe I would consisder, but lighter sled with the best suspension will treat you right.
There are a few posting which I am sure you read, one by suisse sledder that had a freind ride new 05 as he has a viper and tested. The best reading of new sleds.....
I hope the doc does not get his way!!!!!
P.S. Are you still traveling up to quebec every now and then or staying around jackman?

Thanks Rick,
I went to the show in Tewskbury,Ma and I think that it will be between the RX-1 and the Warrior. From what I am hearing, it seems to be hands down on the new RX-1 MONO.
I am sopose to go up to the Benedict-Arnold next week. If I go I'll go up Thursday to Jackman, then up to St. George Friday and back home Sunday.
I am toying with going up to the sno-deo at Coleman State Park,NH Friday to test ride the RX-1 MONO and :?: what ever other 05 they recomend. Trying to decide which to do.
Just came back this morning from Medway. Went up Monday and rode up to Presque Isle. Spent the day(Tuesday) up there and rode back down to Medway Wedsday. Thursday I rode down #83 to Milo and around to Greenville then back to Medway. The ride reenforced the reason that I haven't been doing any riding in that area(Greenville). The trails were bad, especially sence the trails I rode Moday were all groomed to a tee. It sends a mesage on were to go riding or where not to go riding.

Snowrover: I love my warriors ride with over 6000 miles in the saddle. The wife had the M10 warrior and loved it.
I rode the 05 RX1 a few weeks ago and with out a doubt it is a better ride than the warrior including the M10 warrior. It cornered very light and sharp. Adjusting the shock on the fly was fantastic. Yamaha hit a home run with this sled.

Dukester...I'm considering the 05 RX-1. I love my warrior and have huge concerns loosing the 136" track if i get the RX-1.........Was it that good???

SRX600. I love my warrior except I do a lot of bagger trips where we stay at a location 1 or 2 days. We carry the saddle bags one day and leave them in the motel the next day. Whe warrior's rear skid spring is difficult to get at for adjustment between 50lb bags and no bags. Therefore we dodn't adjust dailly so we have a compromise in ride every other day.
The 05 RX1 is simple and easy to adjust the main spring and shock rate.
The second warrior complaint is the top ideller wheels that are fixed to the chassie bracket, like to freeze tight. If I forget to de-ice the wife's sled the wheels wear in a flat spot.
The 05 RX1 rides like a dream come through!!!

Rick,
I went from the club in Medway up ITS 83/85/71D/85 to Ashland, then ITS 88/83 to Presque Isle. The trail all the way was freshly groomed.
I have my RX-1 for sale, still not sure what to ask for it, I'll have to look up the sug retail.
Sence the doctor whants me to give up riding I guess the least I can do is get a machine that gives a really soft ride and I'll have to strenthen my back to help prevent further problems, if possible and stay away from known area's that have rough trails.
