05 rs rage handwarmers (lame)

Anyone figure out how to get more heat out of the handwarmers? These are the worst hand/ thumb wamers on any of my yammies.. I think it is has something to do with the digital temp selector.. All my old yammies had the reostat knob.. Perhaps the digital set up does not have the current output of the older reostat.. 99 srx700 grips on high were too hot where new rage handwarmers just does not cut it... interested in hearing other people feedback and solutions with this.

FWIW - the heaters on my 05 Vector are awesome. On high, they are HOT!!, and on low, they are LOW. With the exception of the ergo's in adjusting the thumbwarmers, I am impressed with how they work.

Last year the warmers on my Rage were excellent. Always hot on the coldest days... I did some work on the sled this past fall that required removal of the bars. This season they are awful... once in a while they'll just heat up, then gone again, 10 degress or 40, very inconsistent.

There is a problem all my yamaha's including this one have burned my hands off!

My Vector grip and thumb warmers are VERY hot also. You haven't wired anything into the circuit like a heated shield, have you?

My Rage warmers work great. I also have installed those round aluminum ends......and they still work great. Thumb warmer will cook my thumb off at just under half.

No heated shield here (goggles for me)... just the stock circuit.

On my vector all I ever need is 1/4 to 1/2 max...........MM.

I do have a heated shield installed on mine and the warmers do not work well. I always have them on high.

The warmers on my 05 work great haven't had to have them but 1/4 on. Temps where only in the mid to upper 20's thou.

My 05 vector thumb and handwarmers and work great. 1/4 to 1/2 is all I ever need.
