05 RS Vector new 0 miles good price?

I think your right that they did not know what they were getting, zero - high milage. As one I guess has 1,700 miles.

I did go their this morning and it looks really nice and it has zero miles, but they won't take my offer of 5,900 OTD they want 6,448 OTD, so I left.

I would have did it for 5,900, again I would have as I think it was a good deal, my wife just got a bad feeling from them and I think even for 5,900 she would have talked me out of it.

Now for the good news and maybe if anyone comes back and reads this can tell if I'm getting a good deal on this. We stopped at rock river in Jefferson and I can get an 09' Vector (ER I THINK) for 8,150 without tax or the GT for about 400 more with out tax. My wife LIKES this better so I'm going to look around some and see if this is the deal for me, the ER I think is for me, its wht/blu..............I do know were I can get 08' 40TH for 7,999 with tax, but I like the WHT/BLU color better.

Thanks Groomerdriver VERY go points...

I was last riding an 98' SRX from 04' - 08'.........I think the Vector fits me and should be alot better ride then that old SRX!!!!!

I'm going go check it out tomorrow.

Glad to hear you passed on the 05. Can't say that I've ever been on a 98 SRX, but the 05 Vector rode like crap - IMO and compared to the Polaris' I've owned. My Vector would have been long gone if a good friend wouldn't have given me a super deal on an M10.

Don't know how far you want to go but I think you can go better on the sled you mentioned. Shop around, but the lowest price doesn't always equal the best deal!

Like many on here along with the professional critics that test sleds, the 120 hp class motor in the Gen II chassis (08) was a perfect match in a trail sled, 2 or 4 stroke.
I would also say shop around, before pulling your wallet out, not sure if yammie has any dealer or customer incentives on right now, but earlier this year they were enabling the dealers to lop off 20 to 25 % off list to move sleds.
if yur an ebay watcher, and aren't afraid to travel a few hundo miles, Heinens in the twin cities area will list NO RESERVE auctions on older inventory.
Port yamaha gets alot of thumbs ups and Mukwanago power sports has gotten more competitive on price also. JMO

i think the 05 vector has the proactive rear skid and it's anything but junk - the auction he is talking about is a yamaha dealer auction, not a public auction.

Dont know if this is useful info to you or not, but I have an 08 vector LTX GT which I bought brand new in late Feb of 08. I paid 7880 (includes MI tax) at the end of the season, not a year old leftover. I had talked to another dealer in March who said he was selling his last ones for (i am thinking) 7200 plus tax. Just throwing this out there to maybe use as some referance. Also, remember there are rebates on many of the leftovers.

As for the 05, I had an 05 prior to my 08, let me tell you, you are going to be MUCH happier with the mono shock over the no-action.

Its still basically a NEW sled if you don't plan on selling it in the next few years. I typically dont mind buying non-current even though its e.g two years old.

I would go for it but I doubt they will replace the fluids. Let us know if they do.

To much for it even though its new. I bought an 05 the end of Feb of 05 and only paid 6500 back then.
