i have an 05 rx1 with a 136 track with stock gearing. the clutch setup i currently have is Dalton DPYR Clutch Weights (66gr), Viper Primary Spring, Dalton Black Secondary Spring, Dalton 53/44R Helix. i bought the sled setup this way and it worked great. the problem i have is that the last time out i blew the belt and some cords wrapped around the shaft on the the secondary and caused the clutch to come around and it broke the ears off of the helix. i tried contacting the previous owner because i am having problems located this helix. Does anyone know where i could get this helix or something that is close in comparison???

Is it gold? I think it probaply a dalton helix should be able to get it right from dalton.

this is why i find it confusing. all the info that he gave me says that it was a dalton helix, but no it is not gold and it appears to be cast? all of dalton helix's are gold and made from billet which should not break the way mine did according to dalton. i am a little confused and am still trying to contact the original owner.

Get Dalton's 54/44 helix, he makes that one and it's close enough to work just as well.

How's that set-up handle F7's in 660 ft?

It could be a factory helix or a factory helix that was recut. How do you know what angle it is,does it say it on the helix?Picture maybe?

54/44 is real close to a stock helix(51/43)I have a 56/44 dalton I might part with.

sorry i didnt get back sooner. my original view of the clutch was on the trail side and we were in a hurry to get back so i didnt take that close of a look at it until i finally got around to pulling the clutch off. it was actually the outer sheave slides that broke off and not the helix, sorry. the helix does show a small dent not sure if it will effect it or not?

didnt get a chance to race any F7's yet but i got a xc800 w/minor clutching on top end but not out of the hole. really close at 660 and i had him at 1000'. that was the only race i lined up with that was anywhere close
