05 RX Warrior Seat Conversion

I have read many posts about the seat conversion, but I am a bit confused about which Apex seat fits my sled...

I am leaning towards the moutain Seat that is more firm, which mountain seat will that fit my 05 warrior?

Also, with the warrior chasis is the tank cover cut necessary?

Any apex seat will work and yes you need to cut the tank cover. Not as big a deal as it sounds. I have done two myself.

All apex seats will work but you need to swap out the tail light with the old seat and to do this you need to cut and splice the wiring because the ends are different. You can use the Apex triangle light with the trim panel but you need to get the apex exhaust covers and then you need to weld a plate onto the exhaust pipe ends to accept the tips. It is not a bad job if you keep the original light. You still have to cut the tank shroud.

Go with the Apex mountain seat! The foam is more firm and you sit a couple inches higher than the stock Apex seat. I have found that my Apex mountain seat is more comfortable after a long day of riding than my stock RX/RS seat. Best mod ever. You wont be disapointed. G.B.

If your buying a new seat go with the 06 RS Nytro seat, This has the firm foam and the correct plugs for your tail light. (no cutting & splicing) It is available with blue or silver stripe.

DinoRX1, Ibought mine at dealer. I went with 06 mtn. vector . I didn't know if all apex mtn sleds would work because the Se versions had 16 inch wide tracks . So i didn't know if the tunnels were wider also .
