For the guys that have picked up their 05 are the seats really that much better than the 03 and 04 and if so how much. Looking at ordering one for my 03.

I thought you really liked the Boss seat for your F-5. If so, why aren't you getting one for your RX-1?

The F5 seat by Boss is totally unique and very different from the stock seat in design and looks, very similar to a SnoPro seat and looks great on the F5. For 05 Yamaha was supposed to address the ride and height problems of their seat so I will wait and see which one I want.

Still an option but added EPC filters and new clutch kit plus waiting on 136" M10 for a lot less than trade cost, final would be seat.
May sell or trade 01 ZR500 that I updated to 03 for REV so I would have one of each but reaaly afraid of ring problems on REV still. Put BOSS seat on F5 and it is really sweet.

greenemachine IMO the 05 seat is very comfortable however it does look kinda goofy like Mighty Warrior say's like they just stuffed more foam in it the piece they added appears to be narrower than the rest of the seat so looks like it sits on top.

The only picture available is the prototype and it was silver/black. Our problem in God's Country is that we will not see any 05s until sometime mid-September.
