I was at a dealer in the marquette MI area this week and a buddy of mine as looking for a new apex gt..
He asked the dealer if they fixed the shock wire problem, and they claimed YES!..
THe 08s do not have the black rubber boot around the plug-in by the shock!
THey claim the boot gets plugged with ice and causes the wire to brake or get pinched!
I havent read anything about this on the forem, so i figured i would post it!
Time to cut off the boots boys....

Rubber boot
Dont cut it off ! Fill it up with RTV silacone which stays flexable and will
keep ice from getting inside ?
2600 miles on my 06 Apex GT and no problems with wires!

I'm sure the shock has been redesigned to not need the boot, whick our older ones are not. The silicone method works the best, as the wires can get broken easier without the boot. Siliconing it will help to strenghten it even more.

the shock is not redesigned.. they just elimnated the boot and ziptied the plug-in to the shock like it was before.. I see it first hand

It would still need power one way or another though.
I can see it now: Battery compartment inside the shock needing two AA's twice per season...
