I'm looking to install a tether before Saturday before the local ice drags. Is there a tether out on the market specific to this sled that is plug and play? I don't want to splice into the wiring if I can help it, I feel its hoaky..
I see that Yamaha has a tether, but it looks fairly complex and expensive having a shut off for the crankcase breather and all. Not sure I need to go that far.
Thanks for the help.

I would seriously consider a roll over valve, cheap insurance IMO

Are you talking about the Yamaha roll over/engine kill switch for $180?
I'm curious how that selenoid works. Every time the power is off does it close the selenoid and not let the engine breath? Hate to have that selenoid go bad while running....... Could be bad news.

Based on the name I'm assuming the sled would have to roll over for this valve to work, correct? If so what stops the throttle from sticking and taking out a tree, that's what I would be more afraid of.

It still kills the engine when the tether disconnects

When the tether is pulled it shuts off the engine and closes the valve so you don't dump out engine oil. I'd worry more about riding without one than if it *may* somehow close the valve while riding. Be downright foolish to race without one!
