Normally open or closed tether for the apex?

I've decided against the roll over tether Yamaha offers. I will just splice in a basic tether. Do I need a nc or no tether switch? I was going to splice into the brown and brown/white wires under the dash. Thanks

Looks like it's supposed to be a NC.
