My wife wants me to put a heated seat kit in our 06 apex gt. I've been looking at some heated seat kits online, and I think this one will do:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271594317789?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Also been looking at a new seat cover since my original is getting wore out. I've got two in mind, the Skinz, and the oe aftermarket:

Does anyone have any experience with either of these two products? Specifically on the seat cover, is how is the fit, and does it retain the rear little lock downs for the storage flap cover?
I looked at the Heat Demon heated seat kits, but didn't like the cheesy on/off switch. The ebay one at least has a hi/low/off with an LED.
Thanks for any input. Looking to make the decision soon.

No info on the covers you posted. however I installed a similar heater on on my wifes vector and it worked very well. However I did not glue it on ( I used the tape that came with it) and it eventually slid around between the cover and the seat foam and ripped the power cord out. I put in a new one and attached it with contact cement on the foam and heater and it worked like a charm...no movement at all... I would recommend using contact cement to install.

Did you have any issues with the heat just softening the glue and shifting as well? What kind of glue did you use? I was thinking the 3M spray upholstery glue may work. Did you have any issues with the pad getting too hot and damaging the seat cover? Did yours also have the relay in the install? Thanks.

The glue stayed put with no melting. I used spray contact cement. I put the heat pad on the foam and outlined it with tape...took the pad off and sprayed the glue on the pad. Sprayed the seat foam with the glue and peeled the tape. This left glue only where the pad will go. Let both tack up as the instructions said and stuck them together. The only problem is if I have to take it off it will peel the foam. The heaters not hot enough to damage the cover. Mine had a relay and a high lo switch very similar to yours.Did you have any issues with the heat just softening the glue and shifting as well? What kind of glue did you use?
