I just added a set of 5.7 Pilots to my attak.Prior to this i had the stock skis and went up one hole on my limiter strap. My transfer was left stock. My sled now pushes really bad in the corners. I was going to decrease my tranfer. As for my front shocks should I Loosen them or Tighten the springs for more ski pressure?. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Pilots I have are the type with 2 runners per ski.

interesting, so the stock skis where better???? I was thinking of switching to the 5.7 but I not that sure anymore

Tried the 6.9 pilot the other day in the field, and was amazed that they didn't push being wider and all. I'll report after today as we are heading out in an hour to put a couple hundred on. I am impressed with the pilots with the little bit of usage thus far. I actually thought they bit in the corners a little to hard. The stock skis w/duallys push a whole lot more.

With the nytro-type suspension, you have three springs to work with.
1) Ski springs. Reducing preload lets the weight transfer forward easier and adds weight to the skis.
2) Front spring on track suspension. Reducing preload takes weight off the track and adds weight to the skis.
3) Rear spring on track suspension. Reducing preload allow weight to transfer back onto the track and off the skis.

Obviously, ADDING preload to each of these springs has the opposite effect as stated above.

If you have the regular attak and not the GT maybe my set-up will help.

1) I have the transfer rod one notch toward more transfer.

2) Depending on you weight (I'm 290 on the sled) make sure you have the right sag when you sit on sled. About 3 inch for me with big boy spring and revalve.

3) Raise front of sled off ground and loosen front shocks untill the springs are just snug.

4) Limiter strap one hole tighter.

Only problem I'm having now is inside ski lifting. A 13 mm sway bar may be my next adjustmant.

quick question, do the 6.9's increase your ski stance or are they offset so that you sled will still fit in the trailer LOL?

The new 6.9 is NOT offset. 4 foot wide outside to outside.

ok thanks. good thing i got the 5.7's
