I posted a question a few weeks back about the choice between the Apex and Attak.
Does anyone have any useful information that I can use to determine my purchase of an '06 or '07?
Are the '07's better? More reliable?
Some help would be great as I'm coming over from the Dark side........BRP.

Own them both too. There is a $29 handwarmer update for the 06 models. Both models are basically the same otherwise. Oh, and they are a great ride.
The 07 GT has better compression abilities in the rear electric shock and the tunnel has been stiffened.

have they had tunnel issues with the attak or is it just the apex? does yamaha sell tunnel stiffeners?
Attaks don't have the problem because the tunnel has bracing. Both years.
Mine has over 4000 miles and has bottomed out dozens of times very hard with no buckling.
You can get a brace from Yamaha for 06 Apex.
