I was late to the party and now the thread is locked. Here is my take. I first want to say thank for all of you who attended and took the time to write a report. I find it hard to believe that these sleds are that good. I will take your word for it and hope for the best. I know with all of the controversy on BBY's thread about windshields or lack there of, isn't it funny that the windshield is the only beef we have from people who have not riddent the sled yet. Boy, we have a come a long way. I wished that was my only beef with my 03. I will say one thing that no one mentioned, Yamaha took a very big risk in letting non-magazine type people ride these sleds and then publish the reports. That took big cahunas!! Just imagine if the reports weren't favorable? Look at all this bad press they would receive. I think they really stuck their necks out and they are that confident in this new product. Look how far they have come in four short years. People are dumping their previous years model sleds, even with turbos in record numbers for these 06's. I think Yamaha is on the right track and if the only thing that needs to be changed is a part or two for a $100.00, I am in. Sure beats what I had to do to get the ride and fun out of my sled. Thanks again for the time and effort that went into this and especially for Yamaha to put these prototypes on the line. I think with all of the demo rides Yamaha is doing with the 05's and 06's, they are going to be the leader in sales in a few short years. We all know they are the leader in technology now. I can't wait to try the 06's. Thank you.
