06 RTX VS 09 Attack

I'll be heading out in a few weeks to Quebec. One of the guys rides an 09 Attack. He's telling me that his sled has more HP (160 vs 150) than an Apex and will hammer me.
I am 190. My 06 RTX has 144 picks, 23 top gear and a Hauck clutch. He is 260 and his machine is picked and stock otherwise.
I know he should take me off the line because of the longer track and the extra weight. What about mid and top?
There is a rivalry in our car club between Ontario and Quebec and he is pissed I beat him with our street cars. I'll have to keep an eye on things as they dont play fair, as told in this video.

Great rant. Hope everybody gets the sarcastic humor. I belive it will be close, but that Hauck clutch kit will slow you down on top. Keep the race short.

The 06-07 is the Attak. The model changed to the LTX model in 08-and up. If he has an Attak, I dont think it is a 2009.

There was something different in the 06-07 Attak from the rest of the line of sleds. There are some posts on here that talk about there maybe being a difference in the angle the track comes up to the drive or something. I am not sure....What I do know is that we have 3 2007 Apex RTX sleds and 1 guy with a 2007 Apex Attak. The Attak walks away from us from mid to top end EVERY TIME no matter what the conditions. He has no mods on his sled at all. There have been many others on here that have posted the same thing.

Attak/Ltx is geared with 23 tooth on top and the '06 Rtx is 24 on the top. The Attak also uses a different secondary spring.

My 07 Attak walks away in any snow condition from my buddies 06 Rtx. We switch sleds (just to rule out driver abilities)
with the same result.
The Rtx is bone stock. Top mph on the dream meter that I've seen is 105mph.
I have an airbox mod,cr10ek plugs,snowtrackers and 108 studs and see 115mph on the dream meter.
I know these mods do not equal 10mph on the top. It seems like the motor favors the longer tracks or likes to be geared down abit.

The 07 Rtx is geared down to 22 on the top which in theory should make it slower than the 23 toothed gear of the 07 Attak.
Its also been mentioned around here that the skid of the 07 and up Rtx seems rob more hp than the Mono. Whether this is true or not, I have no idea.
Someone should call Mythbusters is see whether they can confirm this myth.

My 08 apex 40thLTX has a 24 top gear... my 07 RTX i just sold had a 22... both stock gearing.
