I have a 06 Vector GT that I bought last march  and am worried about the windshield. It looks small. How is it for wind protection?? I ride in Quebec a couple times a year and thats my main worry. I am thinking of getting the 07 Vector GT windshield as that seems bigger. Any thoughts, suggestions or observations would be appreciated!

Go for it ,you will be glad you did.!

I think I will. Dealer said it cost $140.00 which sucks but I will probably have the sled for a while.

I had the red chrome 06 Vector GT windshield on my Warrior last year which is considered a low shield as compared the medium or mid that was stock on my Warrior. I was fine with it and we do most of our riding in northern Ontario such as Cochrane & Hearst. At least try before you spend $$$ on a new one.

A buddy of mine and I have the 06 GT's with the low windshields. The wind would hit me just under the chin, and if I was not zipped up tight, I
would get cold real fast. We bought the 07 windshields and I helped him put his on the other day. New one is about 3'' taller in the middle and about 1'' wider around the sides.

Drove the 2006 all last winter in northern Ont. Times at -20C and found the stock chrome windshiled fine. I do use a heated face shield on the colder mornings however.

I wish my red chrome was a little taller but had no real issues with it last year.

Windshield

I also have a 06 Vector GT with the zig zag stock windy. Took it off and ordered a stock windshield for a 05 RX-1 and put it on. Fits perfectly and will be able to stand that cold stretch from Kirkland Lake to Hearst when we takle it this year. Bad place for a low windshield, and for the sake of style I would sooner be warm..

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will try it and see how it is around home before I buy the 07...If we get any snow!!! :o|
