I have put JB on mine and it doesnt seem to be holding. What kind of welder do they need to use? Also How did you remove the JB weld after you got it on there?

I would scrape as much of the JB weld off the tanks as possible, then have it lightly grit blasted to leave a nice, clean surface. You'll need someone who is a very good TIG welder to weld it. It will take a very good welder since the tank metal is thin and easy to burn holes in it. I believe the tank is steel so the crack could also be brazed/silver soldered. If you can't find someone in your area to weld it for you, send me a PM and I can fix it for you.

The tank is aluminum. Do not sand blast the crack if you plan on having it tig welded, the sand contaminates the weld area and will always leak. Just have the tank cleaned at an automatic transmission shop, thier hot tank solution is the best for aluminum parts. Then take the tank and have it welded. The other option would be to upgrade to a tank from a 2008 Vector which is a totally different shape.

What I am Trying
I also cracked my tank on the bottom-right bolt flange.
I bought a new tank and put fiberglass mess from Bondo on the front and back and around the flange. It will be interesting to see if this sticks, holds and helps.
