How are the remote adjust ski, rear suspension features holding up on the 07 Apex GT's? Thanks for any input. Jim

Everything one mine has functioned well. No failures or defects, but like many, I feel the stock setup is too soft for agressive riding. ( bottoms out and some pogo action in certain conditions) For ordinary trail riding and bumps up to 2 foot it makes all the trail junk completely disappear, but that is where it ends. As soon as you get into anything bigger it is too slow responding and soft that it starts to become a liability, and IMHO when you get a sled that is heavy and it starts behaving badly, all hell can break loose. Sometimes if you try to hammer thru some bigger stuff at full speed and the machine starts pitching in an undesired direction and it is hard to reign it back in.
Understand that this machine isnt intended for this type of riding, but if this is your style, there are better options out there for you.
As for me, I love the sled, it is soooo good at the small to medium stuff, that I am willing to do some work to get it so it will be at least a little more capable in the big stuff. Looking into the Pioneer and Hygear setups this fall and I will report on how whatever I choose works...

I haven't had any issues with reliability that the 06 owners were telling us about their rear shock seals/wiring harnesses.
I have 786 miles on mine.

I love the smooth ride, but turns to junk when the trail gets rough. I am sending my shock to Pioneer, and am thinking of a heavier spring.

I just got mine done at Pioneer. Bruce did it while I waited. I am 200lbs. He advised me to go with the 5.5 spring and to revavle, 209.90 out the door. claims it will be night and day better! Which will be awsome, because the 07 Gt was night and day better than the RX-1 that I am forced to ride when the wife wants to ride! LOL Hope this helps! Honk

No problems with my 07 Shock, allthough i only have 350 miles on the sled, but i hear all the problems are with the 06's.

No problems with my 07 Attak GT either.

no problems on my 07 apex gt after 1700 miles

The 06 and 07 electric Ohlins are the same each year, they have now changed to better valving and heavier spring. The same over all problem was bottoming out in the big stuff. The non-electric can be adjusted with the c-clip on the shock itself. Good luck. HOnk

Thanks for everyones replys. Would any of you go with the Apex ER with the manual adjust rear skid over the GT's remote adjust? I normally run groomed trails but we all know how they can be some times. Just wondering if the ER is a better choice as far as the rear skid. Thanks, Jim

I have not had any issues with the 07 GT sled so far. I have 2200k for mileage. Personally I would not go with the Apex ER with the manual adjust rear skid.

I'd go with the electronic in the GT as it sure is a nice option, crusing down the lake at 60MPH and you can adjust your suspension with the push of the button!! Plus with the GT you get the nice color i think.
