have an 07 apex attack rear suspension, that I know very little about! But the first 4-6" you can lift the sled up and it will fall right back down. I took and adjusted what looks like a shock( lower rear of track all alluminum) I turned it all the way in, this got rid of the 4-6" of no resistance but is it the right thing to do? Is this a shock too? help?

brad i think you have adjusted the weight transfer rod. More transfer = more weight on the back of sled when you hit the throttle but will make the front push in the corners when you get back on the throttle. I have mine set a little past the standard position. there should be a wrench in the tool kit that looks like a shock tool, it will have measurements on it.

If you want to set your "sit in" for the main shock have a look in the Apex section and look under "Frequently asked questions"sticky from swiss sledder lots of info in there on the main shock and the transfer rod.

cheers

thanks for the reply, I need all the info I can gather I bought this sled used, it's actually an 04 warrior, with an 07 apex rear suspension installed in it so I have no info or specs. I think the updated suspension is a good one just not sure about the no resistance travel it has

you should read as much as possiable in the tech sections. Yamaha needs adjusting like no other sled. You can change your sled like WOW. Take it apart so You can understand it, it really will save you some coin, and end up riding a much nicer sled too!
