Any one doing the sensor change should measure the gap before removing the original. The RM that I put in 2 years ago stated you would have to open the holes to get it close enough.

As you know, I changed mine last week and I did not see any good way to measure the gap and plus the new sensor was doweled so there was no adjustment. There were no instructions with mine telling me to do any such thing. But mine did work much better after the new piece was installed, who knows with these Chinese parts, could be the luck of the draw.... I honestly believe all of the idling/stalling issues with the higher mileage apexs is related to this as mine was doing this and is 95% better with the new sensor. The last ride before I got the code 12, my Attak worked the worst ever...new sensor, now it works better than it ever did.Any one doing the sensor change should measure the gap before removing the original. I took a flexible rule and wedged it in the measured the gap between the sensor and the housing with a pair of verniers. Duplicated the measurement on the reinstall.
