07 attack no start.

sled is brand new to me. Took it up to the UP rode 70 miles stopped for gas. When trying to restart it would just crank and sputter a few times but not start. Went back in the gas station trying to figure a game plan out, came back out tried the key fired right back up no problem. Rode all the way back to the cabin sled runs great once running but needs to cool down before getting restarted. Today I tore it apart cleaned all the grounding blocks, pulled the starter solenoid checked and cleaned, put everything back together. Restarted and let warm up noticed idle was also low, (probably was on my ride also but didn’t notice) shut off and same starting issue…. Seemed like a lack of fuel issue to me.. so I went to diagnostic mode and cranked up the fuel trims.. idle got worse. So I went the other direction finally settled at -11 per cylinder. Idles sit at 1500-1600 and seems to start better. Yes, it seems to have fixed my issue but am I masking a different issue??? Sorry for the long write up.

Anyone with similar issues? Am I going to hurt the motor by leaning it out so much? Sled runs fantastic while riding. Want to get it figured out and keep it possibly forever

You won’t hurt anything running the CO settings a little lower than factory, no worries there. What year is the sled and how many miles on it?

2007 attack 2700 miles on it.

Clearly hasn’t been ridden much. The valve seats can develop some rust if the sled it’s for long periods of time, you’ll likely find it runs better and better the more you ride it and the valves start to seal 100%.

Thank you. I live south of Chicago so no we don’t get to ride much locally but as I’ve gotten older I can afford a few trips a year now. So hopefully it starts getting used a bit more.

You could also go into diagnostics and check every sensors output. If one is too far out of spec, it could be causing your condition.

went for a 100 mile ride this weekend sled ran great for most of it. Starting issue was still present but was better. Last 25 miles it started running missing, idles were bouncing around, and stalling when stopped. Going to change plugs when I get home from work tonight. Anything else I should be checking? Have a trip planned in 3 weeks need to get this figured out. If the plugs don’t clear up my issue I may bite the bullet and bring it in
