I just ordered an Attak GT, and need help with a couple things.

I'm a big guy, and fully geared up weigh about 310#. I also use sport luggage on the rear to carry misc. items. I weighed the one on my Warrior, and it weighs 12# full. This brings total weight to around 322#. I am a fairly aggressive rider, and want to set this sled up properly.
From what I've read here, an optional spring for the rear, and possibly revalving the shock, seem to be the way to go. This leaves me with the following questions:

1. What size spring should I order?
2. Is it available from Yamaha, and if not, where do I get it?
3. Is revalving the shock a good idea?
4. Does Yamaha do it, or is it done elsewhere? ( Where? )
5. Is there anything else I'm missing, or should be considering?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Easy answer on the 06 models as they were way under sized for the average sledder but wait until the final specs are out on the 07 models. Sure Yamaha will make some adjustments with all the problems and adjustments having to be made to the GT rear suspension.

My sled was a bottoming up in canada and when i got back the dealer changed the clip position and he said it was set for at least 300# and he was right went riding that following weekend and i couldn't bottom it out. Stock Spring.

wait till you get the sled..

There is no knowing what the shock and spring will be calibrated at..

Lee, Congrats on the GT. Wish one was in the works here. Anyway, I was told by a Rep (who actually tells the truth) that the Attak and Apex models have been recalibrated.

I'd wait and ride it first before making any changes.
