I bought brand new 07 Cat 141 rails with the new front arm relocation built in. I thought this would be easier than getting Holz relocation brackets.
After putting the skid together and comparing the older M7 rails, I see the bolt holes are in different locations changing the geometry of the skid.
For example: The centre to centre distance from the rear arm bolt hole to the bolt hole that holds the rear shock with the idler wheels is exactly 20 inches. The distance on the old rails is 18 3/4 inches. Will this still work? I went on the Arcticcat.com ezparts and noted the rear shock links (the skinny things alongside the rear shock) on the M7 2005 (which is supposed to be the components I have) and the 07 M6/M8 are the same part number so I assume they are the same length. I thought about drilling more holes and bringing the inside idlers closer to the rear at 18 3/4 inches but there is no nub on rail to allow this to happen. The current bolt hole is situated at the nub (the bump or rise in the rail).
I stood on the rear of my suspension and it didn't actuate at all. I am thinking something is really wrong. I am very very frustrated.
The front shock mount is also in a different location...a couple of inches toward the rail tips. The front shock points almost straight up.
I tried posting pics, but it is not working. I hope you guys get the gyst.

Pete,
I wouldn't be shy about drilling new holes, please email me pics with rails side by side and maybe I can offer some assistance. Also, with the front shock moved forward I think they were addressing the issue with the front shock being soft. It seemed that the angle was too low and it compressed to easily, a steeper angle might actually help.
