I am thinking of buying a 07 phazer gt with 15000km anything specific i should look for? are they a good sled i am buying it for my wife who is a novice rider and is 130lbs.

Seriously????

My daughter has been on one for the last two years. She came off an old pogo stick phazer so the 1st year was a learning experience for her. Trail riding them is not really any different than any other sled, but off trail and in the ditches she struggled with finding the balance point. This year she had no issues with it. My wife played around on it one day and now is riding one as well. She's coming off an apex but likes the lighter weight of the phazer. My thoughts - if she's primarily a trail rider she will have no problems other than learning the nuances of a new sled/chassis. If she is more of a play type of person than there might be a little more of a learning curve. In my daughter's case it was a confidence issue.

There was a very good discussion here . Lots of disagreements but the Phazer is a sled that has to be ridden, not driven. It's been described in the past as a dirt bike on a track which needs a lots of rider input to ride. It all depends on what she's looking for in a sled. It's not a luxo barge.

If you are questioning the amount of miles, I would say that a person that owns an '07 with that much on them, they have surely encountered any of the issues and dealt with them. It may sound silly, but probably true.

I know we have seen them all with our 07 Phazer with over 6100 miles. I would trust that sled over one that someone had sitting with under 2000 miles on it.

We had a member that sold his '07 Phazer with 27 000 Km. As long as it's well maintained, it'll last forever. Ask if they are on TY, which will also give a good indication of knowledge and maintenance.

That comes out to around 9,320 miles....
I had 7,500 on mine & a roll over when it went into Ruggy's chassis this season.
Taken care of with oil/ filter changes, I wouldn't be afraid of the mileage if the rest of the machine is in good shape + price is right.

I do understand that is going to be a tough sales pitch for me as well in the fall when I sell my 12,000+ mile Apex.

I was going to list it now, but I know I will do better selling in the fall. I'm sure I will get all sorts of 2-stroke guys saying it is a dead sled with that many miles. I may have to give a test ride on the leftover snow to prove it's condition.

I will just have to keep it as a backup sled rather than let 2-smokers beat me up on it's value. I know the love I have put into it.
