I bought a used '07 venture and called Yamaha with the serial number, they said there was a recall and that it was not done. It is "Altitude Compensation" campain # 93ACH & 93ACM. They said they will not pay for it anymore. Does anyone here know anything about this recall, is it something I should have done? I live just above sea-level .Thanks

where do you live and what the altitude where you ride if you are below 2300 you are ok with stock jetting

I am on the east coast of Canada, Prince Edward Island, right at
sea-level. I am buying the sled form Maine. So why would a recall have been issued? Does the factory set the jetting according to the altitude to where the sled will be sold new? How can I tell if it does have jetting for sea-level.

All US Yamaha sleds come factory jetted for low altitude. The two bullitens are not recalls, just something dealers do if a sled gets sold at high altitude (for all non-mountain sleds and carbed mountain sleds) or at low altitude (for all mountain units) when they are brand new. The reason the bulletins show up for that sled is due to it being originally sold at low altitiude.

I just bought a new 2010 Vector LTX GT and it had the same campaign numbers show up. It is fuel injected. What would the compensation be? With FI, temp and barometric pressure (altitude) are already compensated for.
