have 07 rtx with 1350 miles never backfired till last 50 miles ,now it back fires almost every time i let off gas,anybody else have this problem

my buddy has an 06 rtx and it just started backfiring the other day, i have an 06 gt and it is fine so far, i only have 800 miles though, hes has about 2000. tried searching the forum, no results though, hopefully we get some answers. possible water in gas i was thinking, we put some additive in gas, have not heard results, well see this weekend

Good chance if your adding isopropyl alcohol that your over doing it. Personally I don't add it unless Im bringing a cold snowmoblile into a warm garage etc. And if I add any it will only be an ounce or two.
do a search on backfiring. there was a recent post about this that had a fix...sorry i'm being so vague, but i don't have time to look it up. it was something having to do with a faulty exhaust gasket maybe?

the sled does seem a little louder when starting,but when riding seems about the same,its going to warm up next week so im going to keep riding it this weekend,then have the dealer put on another set of wheels and fix what ever is broke in the exhaust area

I use 50ml of iso in every tank. Never heard a back fire. If all else fails run fuel injector cleaner thru it. Half a bottle to a tank. Never know when you pick up some dirty gas.
