My buddy just picked up an RTX. where should we start with his rear suspension? he has about 160 some studs I believe. we do mostly trail riding but do some playing in the fields too (racing).
My rtx with 136 rail extensions, 1-1/4 track, studs and ulmers clutch kit was a rocket ship.

Take the shock out and have it re valved. its like $80 and that includes new oil and re charge. If u know much about doing it yourself u can try. It easy to play with valve shims but takes a good understanding if what effects they have. i played with mine a bit. I had a post here a week ago about it

I threw mine away and bought a monoshock with the Ohlins. It plugs right into the dash transfers weight better and rides way better. I added a dual rate twisted spring from Hygear. It was an incredible improvment. I tried revalving both shocks and changing springs and never could get it dialed in. The good news is I think I could have jumped it off the roof of my house and not bottomed out. Unfortunatly if you hit a stutter bump you cant hang on to the handle bars

Had the same skid.... after many valving changes and broken trailing arms it was replaced with a M10 air. best move I ever made. Made the sled complete as the stock rear suspension was the only thing wrong with the whole sled.
