Pls Help, I have searched 60 pages so far and no sign of any similar problem. CC Oil was / is milky & thick (cold). The sled still moves but makes very loud clunking sound every 4-6 feet. Is it possible the chain is just loose? (wishful thinking i guess). Does the oil resevoir need to be removed to get at the tensioner? Is anyone aware of any threads with info or "how to" steps to remove/replace/check chain or gear condition?

The white/milky oil is water/moisture that got into the oil. This could be the gasket or I have even herd that some experience this when they go from outside into a heated garage. Water condenses on the inside and gets into the oil.
This track change guide should help you out with getting to and fixing the problem.
Just skip any steps that talk about the skid/track.
I also attached a steps on how to adjust the chain tension.
Hope this helps.

Yes water can also get in by the seals. Might as well change them also while you are in there...

Yep, a cog or 2 missing/worn down will "ca chunk".
Blew the original '07 belt @ 82mph last year and got the thumping feeling, thought the whole motor had grenaded. I was like ,"oh WTF did I just do"!!
Wife pulls up behind me 30 seconds later and gives the womanly, "why do you have to be running that fast anyways" lecture.
"Simmer down woman, it's a nice flat straight and happens when your're having fun".
She needed a smoke break anyways..........
Now wait till I buy a new belt @ $100 this year
