I normally send all my shocks to Pioneer because they're only 45 minutes away and typically get the job done in a couple days at a reasonable cost . Hygear is located in NY and also does good work. All the shocks on my Nytro RTX have been revalved by Pioneer but I run Hygear's dual rate spring on my center shock and I'm happy with the results.

Personally I had mine done at Schmidt Bros motorsports in MI. They replace the line with a braided line, re-valved it, and put a custom spring all setup for my weight. They also do the rear shock too at the same time if you want re-valving it too.
From what they were telling me is a lot of people suffer from the shock actually blowing up, so just having the bolt coming out is pretty lucky.

Pioneer Performance sells a good aftermarket replacement. I prefer theirs over the oilite version.

I got just over 5000 miles on the stock track. It didn't show wear like you're describing but it had lost many of it's lugs so I decided it was time for replacement. If you do a replacement I highly recommend installing a 128" track with the Star skid relocation kit: http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=112741
