Hey guys last weekend i hit a derby and my sled ran fine all day, loaded it up at the end of the day and it was runin good.Next mornin i went out to unload and the sled wont idle.It will only start and stay running if the hold throttle. The minute i let go of throttle it just quits runnin.I can drive it and its ok and sounds normal,i have not had an engine light or code come on.I have replaced plugs, cleaned air filter and no change..I just did new exhaust donuts and this was the only ride since...anyone ever have these issues...

won't idle

Check your intake boots and make sure they are on all the way and not cracked. Maybe the hit jarred them off or cracked them. You said no codes i.e. (T.O.R.S), but have you checked you throttle cable adjustments just in case. By the way what is a derby??

Good Luck

I rode on a poker derby...i was thinking the T.O.R.S but usually they throw a code out.In diagnostic mode the position is 16 closed & 99 open,so according to manual this is good.

Im having the same problem just started this week after ridin in a snow storm.mine will barely idle at about 700 rpms or it just dies.when u first start cold it idles fine, then as soon as you touch the throttle it idles back to 700 or just dies. Dealer thinks its prolly the tors malfunctioning even with no code. Also acts like its missing when rpms get up to 9000+ rpms which might be hitting rev limiter, not sure how that feels when hitting that. Has anybody had to replace there tors yet?

OK well i was getting no code either for the t.o.r.s,so my throttle cable free play was to much from what the manual says.So i adjusted the the throttle cable free play and now my sled idles perfect and starts fine.I guess its time to change the throttle cable, this happened on my friends nytro and a new cable fixed it.

TORS

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Now I know what a derby is. We call it a poker run in the states.

We have a problem here in Canada too with "Idle no More"..LoL

Thought i would try and adjust throttle free play, adjusted till tors acted up, backed it off until tors went off. Idle went up and now idle changes when you turn handle bars. Noticed down were cable has adjustment down by engine were cable from elbow into long adjuster nut kinda loose, meaning i can move cable side to side. Is this suppose to be this way, maybe i just need a new cable

Set the adjustment by the engine having a 1/4 of the threads past the bracket where the actual cable is exposed and snug up the locking nut real good, then adjust up at the handle bars like you did previously untill the tors does not engage and the idle stays constant when the handle bars are turned lock to lock

Well my problem ended up being the idle screw backed out some. Not sure how that could happen when there is a spring on the screw.
