Hey guys hope all is well (besides the no snow here in saskatchewan for me).
I was wondering if anyone has cut there tunnel to add the tappered tunnel look to there 08 ? I know there are options to buy the kit or just buy the a new custom tunnel. But i have the air frame boards on order just seeing if anyone has done this or can give me a quide into the right direction. if any pictures that would be great
Again thank you in advance for any help and sorry if this has been posted before, i have looked here and the garage but nothing.

I checked out Stolis build and i see he has the new bumper which looks unreal but my question is there a pattern or something that you can cut the 08 tunnel to the new tappered style.

I used a Rev bumper and tapered from behind the CR rear drop brackets. Pics did I take pics? Gotta check.

I just finished chopping the back of my '08, since I went with after market boards at the same time, I flipped and modified my stock running boards' supports into tunnel reinforcements. I know a guy that chopped his the same as mine but didn't reinceforce it at all and kinked the dovetail after bailing off on a steep jump.

Smithereenpsycho, Swelly, Woodsrider: i thank you guys very much that is excatly what i was looking for i really appreciate.
Now here is another question what would guys suggest for adding supports after you cut? I seen Smithereenpsycho and the way you have done it, i was wondering if the way the Skinz guys have done the long bumper or even yamaha custom bumper would add tunnel support?

It's hard to see in the pic's but my bumper has support going all the way up to the rear drop bracket (and incorporates the rear idler axle bolts). The piece was formed to fit over the tunnel after I cut the tunnel out. It adds extra support for lifting and carrying a gas can. Mine is a little different due to the EZ Ride rear suspension. I due recommend adding some sort of bracket from the running board to the tunnel to support the back half of the running boards. If you do not support it you will fatigue it when side-hilling rather quickly.
