Morning, folks.

I think the rear shock on my '08 Vector has 'bit the bullet'...when I push down on rear of sled and let it go it literally pops/springs back up very quickly.

I'm wondering if it's rechargeable or if I need to replace it? Appreciate any feedback on this...thanks! :)

08 Vector ___ GT? Anniversary?
If it is KYB ( bare aluminum body) or the Ohlins ( anniversary edition) they can be rebuilt.
Get the front done as well. What's the RA set at?

Thanks, steiner. It's the '08 Vector LTX. Glad to hear they can be rebuilt!

I usually leave the RA about halfway.

Well...I ended up replacing the RA cable and a gasket on the shock (along with the recharge) but still find the sled 'waaaaay' too bouncy (regardless of RA knob setting). I thought the shock was responsible for restricting the springs from doing their job but with a basically new shock and still the same issue I'm really not sure.

Should I be checking the rear suspension spring preload now? Sort of at a loss, tbh. :(

Recharging the shock will not correct the "bounciness". Have it revalved by a pro that will take your weight in driving style and make a valve stack that best suits you.
