This sled sure has been good to me over the years. I changed plugs on it last year, replaced all wheel bearings, synced the carbs, replaced a bunch of missing and broken track clips, and changed hyfax. But I never got to run it last year due to our poor winter.
Today, my first time out with it this year, it ripped right up to 104 on the dream meter. Not bad! It seems to be running stronger than ever. 13k miles on it. It still rides like a dream!

We had ideal conditions this morning. Freshly groomed RR grade. The Vector ran 115 mph on it. Not too bad I would say. I wonder what 115 on the speedo translates into real world numbers? 105 perhaps?
But I made a mistake and rode this 650 for a while. After that, my sled seemed rather poochy.

My 2008 Vector is still my favorite, all-time sled.

Right on, brothers! This pic was from a month ago in Indiana on my '08.

I prefer the more relaxed seating position and the ride comfort of these old DBII sleds compared to some of the new iron. Yamaha really did a great job with these early 4 strokes. I think they have aged very well.
