I have a blue '09 MTX and am wondering about swaping the front end for a wider one. My wife is a relatively new rider and I think the wider front end may be more stable. Thoughts or willing parties? The sled only has 500 miles and the front end is CLEAN.

thats a good idea, I'm looking to do the same eventually these sleds can be pretty unpredictable in corners with the narrow front, nothing like riding a short track phazer, they seem like SRXs compaired to the MTXs.
Good luck

I posted in the classifieds, with or without shocks for sale. Yes it's ALOT more stable, good for some folks

I'm just after taking the sway bar off of my '03 Rx-1 M because one of the bushing are gone so for the time being I took it off. You should feel how tippy that is. Insane for off trail riding but on trail can get pretty spooky.

Just Move the skis out to the widest position works well.
I also took the sway-bar out and crank the right shock to max pre-load and the left on notch less.
Works awesome -- The sway-bar helps mostly at speed and the girls roll the phazer a lot of trail on uneven bumps at slow speed , without the sway-bar the shocks can move independent and walk over stuff that flipped here with the sway bar in. that with the wide ski stance made here a happy camper.

Yeah I've found that as well without a sway bar. It's more like an independant suspension now and I like it a lot better for off trail.
